Tuesday trivia with Kylie!
For his 1984 "In 3D" album, Weird Al Yankovic wrote B-52's pastiche about inventor Sam Popeil (father of Ron Popeil of Ronco), and while looking for female session vocalists he found prolific voice coach and singer Lisa Popeil, Sam's daughter (and Ron's half-sister) and thought it would be funny to have her sing about her father. She enthusiastically agreed and has been part of his regular studio session musician crew ever since! She even accompanied him as a touring music on his 2019 orchestral Strings Attached Tour (Mr. Popeil was not part of the tour setlist, however).

Let’s Get Physical Friday ~ Mic Check, Body Check 🧘‍♀️
Mindful moment before the music 🤍

Before I soundcheck, I always do a mini wellness check-
💧 Hydrated?
💨 Deep breath?
💪🏻Posture on point?
🧠Confidence up?

It takes 30 seconds — and sets the tone for everything that follows.

Try it before your day, your workout, or your next big performance.

It's time for another Trivia Tuesday with Kylie!

"Rock Steady" was a massive hit for The Whispers in 1987 (peaked on the Hot 100 at #7) and was written and originally recorded (as a demo) by Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds (who also produced The Whispers's recording). UK production team Stock/Aitkin/Waterman licensed the instrumental track and rerecorded it with new vocals/lyrics and embellishments as "Look My Way" on Kylie Minogue's debut album, Kylie. "Look My Way" is one of the only songs (along with "The Locomotion") from her debut that she felt captured what she wanted to do, rather than what Stock/Aitkin/Waterman told her to do.

So, if you're a huge Kylie Minogue fan who listens to her deep cuts and thought "This sounds vaguely familiar..." well, here's why!
