The Girls Just Want To Have Fun Band is looking for our next lead singer!
For the past 12 years, we’ve been entertaining audiences throughout Southern Maine with high-energy performances featuring the iconic female artists of the 80’s, including Pat Benatar, Heart, Cyndi Lauper, Joan Jett, The Go-Go’s, and more. We perform regularly throughout the Greater Portland area and have fans who love great music, audience interaction, and a fun, authentic 80’s experience.
Our current lead singer will be leaving this fall, creating a unique opportunity for an experienced vocalist and performer to step into an established, actively gigging band. We are looking to bring the right person on board late summer to learn the show and transition into the lead role by mid-October.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong lead vocals and commanding stage presence
- Is comfortable engaging with audiences and working a crowd
- Loves performing high-energy 80’s music
- Can embrace the look, attitude, and fun of an 80’s rock star
- Is reliable, professional, and committed to rehearsals and performances
- Has previous band or live performance experience
